Vegan Hot Chocolate
Hot Chocolate With Coconut Milk, Oat Milk & Pecans

The rather gloomy weather on this winter's day (the rain is falling in Paris) makes me want to suggest a recipe for comforting hot chocolate that couldn't be easier to make. You just need to have the ingredients to hand...!

A few weeks ago, I proposed another hot chocolate recipe, this time with green tea.

Today, I'm suggesting an exotic blend for a vegan hot chocolate. No need to add sugar here, coconut milk is more than enough.

And by the way, if you can't get enough of this milk, you can perfectly well reverse the proportions, but also replace the oat milk with almond milk or rice milk, the pecans with hazelnuts or walnuts, and so on. It all depends on your tastes and the ingredients in your cupboards!

So, how about a little snack?

Ingredients for 2 hot chocolates:

- 20 cl. oat milk

- 10 cl. coconut milk

- 2 chocolate bars

- 1 handful of pecans

Preparation:

1- Heat the coconut milk and oat milk in a saucepan.

2- When the milk is hot, add the crushed pecans and chocolate bars. Let the chocolate melt over low heat, while stirring.

3- When the chocolate is completely melted, strain the hot chocolate through a fine-mesh strainer to collect the pecan pieces (which can be enjoyed separately).

4- Pour into a mug and drink immediately, piping hot.
